Compulsory testing ordered for 15 locations

The government on Saturday evening issued a compulsory testing notice ordering people who had visited 15 specified premises to get tested for Covid-19.

The locations were sites in Tai Wai, Tuen Mun, Tung Chung, Sheung Shui, Ma On Shan, Sha Tin, Sham Tseng and Sham Shui Po.

“The government strongly reminds members of the public to strictly follow the compulsory testing requirements and undergo testing on time as required,” it said in the order. “Any person who fails to comply with the testing notices commits an offence and may be fined a fixed penalty of HK$10,000.”

On Saturday, the Centre for Health Protection said Hong Kong recorded another daily record for new Covid cases, with the tally coming in at 1,514 cases.

There were also more than 1,500 preliminary positive cases.
