Compulsory testing ordered for 10 places

The government on Tuesday issued a compulsory testing notice for 10 locations across the territory.

People who stayed at these places for more than two hours from March 9 to 22 are required to undergo a Covid-19 nucleic acid test by Thursday.

“In view of a number of cases tested positive, 10 specified places are included in the compulsory testing notice,” the government said in a statement, adding the testing order also applies to those who are fully jabbed.

However, it pointed out that people who have tested positive for the coronavirus in the past three months are exempt from the order.

These people include those who were tested by nucleic acid tests, or tested themselves with rapid antigen tests and declared their results to the Department of Health.

The buildings included in the compulsory testing notice are located in Tuen Mun, Sha Tin, Tai Po, Tseung Kwan O, Shek Kip Mei, Wong Tai Sin, Kwai Chung, Lam Tin and Chai Wan.
