The government on Saturday said the turnout rates for pre-booked Covid-19 vaccination slots was about 75 percent for the Sinovac jab and 91 percent for the BioNTech. Both figures are slightly higher than on Friday.

It said in the past 24 hours, about 8,500 people had received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and 5,700 the BioNTech.

About 177,000 people have now received their first shot, about 2.36 percent of Hong Kong’s population. So far about 85 percent of those vaccinated have opted for Sinovac.
