Two policemen have been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, after a detainee alleged her property had been stolen while she was in Sham Shui Po Police Station.
Police on Monday said that the woman had been arrested a week ago for illegal entry.
Officers had sealed up her property at the time but, when she was collecting it last Friday, she claimed something was missing.
Upon investigation, the force said two officers, aged 55 and 42, had been arrested on Sunday night.
They’ve been suspended from duty and will have to report to a police station this week.
The force said it put great emphasis on the integrity of officers and it had zero tolerance for any illegal behaviour.
