Man dies after falling onto MTR tracks

The police said a man died on Sunday after falling onto the tracks at Fanling MTR station.

The MTR Corporation said the case, which happened at around 11:30am, forced the suspension of services between Tai Wo and Sheung Shui stations on the East Rail Line.

Free shuttle services were made available for passengers between those two stations.

And trains were running at eight-minute intervals between Hung Hom and Tai Wo stations.

Train services returned to normal about an hour later.
