HK$2 fare extended to trams, kaitos and red minibuses

Older residents and disabled people will soon be able to use more modes of public transport for just HK$2 per journey.

The government said in a statement on Friday that the concessionary fare scheme will be extended to trams, 45 red minibus routes and 11 kaito services, from February 27.

Eligible persons aged 60 to 64 must use a personalised Octopus card called the JoyYou Card to enjoy the concessionary fare.
