Govt to distribute 80,000 RATs to high-risk districts

The government on Sunday said that it will distribute rapid test kits to around 80,000 residents, cleaners and property management staff working in a number of buildings in different districts, after it found relatively high viral loads of Covid-19 in their sewage samples.

It said relevant district offices will hand out a total of 80,000 test kits to the people living or working at specific blocks in Sha Tin, Southern district, Kwun Tong and Yuen Long.

The buildings concerned include Hill Paramount, Julimount Garden, World-Wide Gardens, Golden Lion Garden Stage II and Lung Hang Estate in Sha Tin, World Fair Court, Wah Fu (I) Estate, Wah Fu (II) Estate and Pok Fu Lam Terrace in Southern District, Tsui Ping (South) Estate in Kwun Tong, as well as Sun Yuen Long Centre and a number of residential blocks near Fung Yau Street North, Fung Yau Street South and Fung Kam Street in Yuen Long.

Those who test positive can call a 24-hour government hotline to get further tests.
