Dental clinics, post office suspend services

The Department of Health says its dental clinics will suspend evening services from Wednesday until further notice.

It said the decision was made in light of the surge of Covid-19 cases, and affected users will be informed, and separate arrangements will be made for them.

Meanwhile, Hongkong Post said mail delivery services for Yuen Long, Tin Shui Wai and Hung Shui Kiu will experience delays, as its Yuen Long Delivery Office will be closed until Wednesday.

This comes after a postman at the office tested preliminary positive for the coronavirus.

He had delivered mail within Yuen Long and last went to work on Saturday.

Authorities said notices have been put up at the premises he had delivered mail to.

His colleagues have also been asked to get tested, and all of the facilities and mail items at the office had been disinfected.

The Post Office Box lobby at the building will also be closed until Wednesday.

Various government departments had suspended non-emergency and non-essential services, as many government workers were told to work from home.
