The government on Wednesday gazetted further measures to strengthen compulsory testing for close contacts of confirmed Covid-19 cases.
In a statement, the government said all household members of close contacts would now be ordered to take a Covid test.
The Centre for Health Protection currently requires close contacts of confirmed cases to go into quarantine, if they have no symptoms.
The government said it had taken the move after taking expert advice.
The government also gazetted the extension of its social distancing measures until February 17.
